This was a freestyle ride I recorded on a day off. Try to skip Vianen and Gorinchem, I got momentarily lost there. Other than that, this was a positively surprising ride! Lots of space, nature, water, and a few cute places to stop by the side of the road and take it in.

The Reeuwijkse Plassen form a lovely area outside the weekend. (It’s closed to motorcyclists on the busy weekends, which is for the better.) This route not only incorporates Reeuwijk, but a bunch of other pleasant nature & roads in the broader region around it. Surprise yourself with the space around Dutch cities, and hop on the saddle for this lovely ride.

On the way to Zeeland you zoom through the Blankenburgtunnel, the return is over the A4 highway. It’s quite a long ride, but there are plenty of stopping opportunities and restaurants and gas stops along the way. Delightful on a quiet Sunday!

Very joyous ride. Especially Reeuwijk’s surroundings offer many gorgeous landscapes. Also, there are many hilly, curvy, sometimes outright challenging roads to take.

It’s a ride to enjoy solo. Just after Bodegraven, at Reeuwijk-Tempel, you end up on a very narrow and curvy road. It’s not always easy to look far ahead due to dense rows of trees. This truly is a place where you want to ride your own ride, not disturbed by someone else’s tempo.
