Three lessons this month. The last lessons I’d ever do. Because ya boi is a biker now! 🥺

Jan 11-29: Dark winter challenges
The lesson on the 11th was rather ‘uneventful’ – things were smooth. We just practiced some precision stuff and then enjoyed curvy dike roads with a little coffee break in between. Absolutely lovely!
The following lesson was much more challenging.
Nov 23-29: Joke’s on me
The last lessons leading up to the road exam were a great morale boost.
Nov 13 & 16: Find the flow
The lessons felt gooooood this week.
The first one was a very observing ride where the instructor just gave me directions and didn’t correct me much otherwise, to analyze the on-road behavior afterwards. He helped me to figure out some planning problems which hampered my flow in traffic.
Today I could test that and it was delightful. Much better. I did get a liiiiiittle enthusiastic in a corner exiting the highway, but it was a good reminder on how to regulate that — we revisited the exit a bit later and it was fine then.
Good pacing, the looking behavior was good, and I definitely couldn’t suppress a number of smiles in the helmet. Everything I could possibly wish for today.
Thirteen days to go until the exam! 🤩
Oct 28: Chicken soup for the soul
On Friday, October 25th I got a call from a very distraught family member. They told me they had found my mom at home, lifeless.
As you might be able to imagine, it was like the ground disappeared from underneath my feet.
